Plot[edit]
The story takes place in a time when humans and non-humans alike lived in the same society. The Kingdom of Liones was almost annihilated thanks to the evildoings of the Demon Clan, but were saved thanks to the efforts of the Kingdom’s third Princess, Elizabeth, and a band of strong yet terrible knights known as the Seven Deadly Sens. With peace returning to the Kingdom, preparations are underway to celebrate the King’s birthday. Dishes using lots of rare ingredients are being prepared at The Boar Hat Tavern, which is being run by the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins, Meliodas: the Dragon's Sin of Wrath.
In search of an ingredient called the Skyfish, Meliodas and his talking pig Hawk end up lost above the clouds and in front of the Sky Palace after stumbling across a well in the nearby forest which they discover is a portal. Living in the Sky Castle are a race of winged people, descended from the Goddess Clan, known as the Celestials. They protect the land which holds an evil which was sealed 3,000 years ago. However, a group of demons, who call themselves The Six Knights of Black, attack the Sky People with the aim of releasing the sealed evil. In order to protect the seal, a winged boy named Solaad believes that they need to find the legendary white pig ‘Oshiro’ from whom they borrowed power 3 millennia ago to seal the evil. As Solaad flees from the land in the sky in order to get help, he opens a portal that turns out to be the one Meliodas and Hawk came through. Solaad then ends up meeting the other 6 members of the Seven Deadly Sins. However, due to Solaad and Meliodas sharing many physical qualities, there is confusion at first as both try to explain to each group that they are not who they are being mistaken for. After some confusion, both are able to prove that they are not who they say they are.
The Six Knights of Black and the Seven Deadly Sins end up facing off in a battle, the Sins aided by the warriors of the Sky People. It turns out that Bellion, the leader of the Knights, and Meliodas have a connection from the Ten Commandments, an elite group of demons that the Sins had recently defeated. Meliodas was once the leader of the Ten Commandments until he betrayed them and started fighting for humanity along with another turncoat member of the Commandments named Gowther, who then became the Goat's Sin of Lust. Meliodas had previously denied Bellion entrance into the Ten Commandments, professing his extreme need to be in the group to be an overwhelming weakness. The battle with Bellion, whose raw power surpasses even that of the Ten Commandments, comes very suddenly and is very intense. While fighting Bellion, Meliodas is mortally injured by the Winged Sword, a sacred sword forged specifically for combat against demons. However, Solaad, trusting the Seven Deadly Sins in the fact that Meliodas is a good person, removes the sword and revives Meliodas. Solaad then, using the Winged Sword and the combined power of all the warriors of the Sky and that of all the Sins, including Princess Elizabeth, seals and destroys the Demon. The Sins are hailed as heroes and celebrate with the Sky People before taking a Skyfish and flying back to Liones on Hawk's giant mother, who is revealed to have been 'Oshiro' the whole time.
In a post-credits scene, the Sins present the cooked Skyfish to the King, who is appalled by its horrible taste due to Meliodas being a terrible cook. Hawk decided to eat it for him, but suddenly went into his Skyfish form, much to his shock. Speech to text converter software.
